The Biggest Loser

My work has their own version of "The Biggest Loser" going on right now. It started today and ends May 9th. Everyone gives $20 to the pot and the top three get the some monies. So basically I am going to get weighed every Monday... yeah!!! It's really great, though. I needed some motivation to get back into shape. Just need to eat healthy and get to the gym.
I'm gonna get small, people.

Not New Pictures

This picture (left) is of the cupcakes I made for work on Tuesday. After my audition, I had some left over energy so I made some funfetti cupcakes with chocolate fudge frosting. They were pretty good. Better than the last batch, I think. Although, it's hard to fuck them up when everything is out of a box. It's the thought that counts though, right?

This one (right) is from my trip to California. That's Duma and I trying to have fun in the middle of motel alley at a Chilli's... the margaritas helped.

This one (below) is of Corey and me on one of the many planes we took to and from California. It was a long and scary trip and somehow we are still smiling. Thank goodness for ipods... and good company.

Cupcakes For A Better Life

I made cupcakes for work yesterday. I began trying to make pumpkin muffins with cinnamon icing from scratch and ended up making chocolate cupcakes with cream cheese frosting from a box mix. I did, however, make the frosting orange for Halloween and sprinkled purple sugar on top. It was the release of out new operating system, so it was like a party day.

This is an advertisement for "The Foundation For A Better Life"...

...really? Really. I bet men will remember this ad when they are about to have a one-night stand, and think "that guy in the PSA was a douchebag, let's screw."

Camping

This week I am working with 8th-12th graders for a week long audition workshop. I am in charge of a 30 minutes warm-up, assisting, guiding, and generally assisting. Everything has been pretty chill so far ::knocks on wood::, and the kids are all really sweet.

Leading warm-ups and playing games on the spot has come back just like riding a bike. It's amazing the things you can remember from as far back as 7th grade.

The people we have come in are people who I am currently trying to audition for so really I am getting an extra chance to meet them. I also get to hear their opinions and preferences about business things.

I wasn't so excited about doing camp, but I think it's really the environment I need right now. I am also getting to meet lots of people my age and older who are in the Chicago theatre scene.

I like it when things work out well.

Busy Times

So tomorrow I begin my "day" job. I am a bit nervous. I am mostly not prepared to be so busy all of a sudden. I have an 8:30 AM-3:30 PM schedule at the camp. Then I have rehearsals 6:30-10 PM. Then auditions in-between and voice lessons on Fridays 5-6 PM. Weekends are pretty free which is nice. Then when the show goes up, weekend shows.

It's gonna be good, I think.

P.S. Tony awards tonight-- let's hope they are fun to watch.
P.P.S. I miss this guy.
